We have not taken time to offer our gratitude to our amazing construction company, Foothills Commercial Builders, and the hundreds of subcontractors who continue to toil away in shift after double shift in our dark and unheated construction zone as we race toward completion. Thanks for all you do for us.
Last week we finished most of the drywall installation and set in the large electrical panels and new dimmers to handle the theatrical lighting. We also began work on our sound system installation and began the acoustical ceiling tiles and completed the tile in the lobby bathrooms.
After a very eventful week last week we are back to business as usual this week.
Last week we finished the concrete stairs for the mezzanine level and we continued to work on a vast array of finishes.
Planned work this week includes beginning to rough in the storage rooms upstairs, framing, priming and painting of some areas. We hope to have all drywall completed before the end of the week. We continue to work on electric infrastructure and other foundational items. The lobby is coming along as well as we continue to install our solid oak wood paneling.

Colorado’s first brewpub, the iconic Wynkoop Brewing Company, is now serving Mexican Chocolate Stout on tap. Jeremy Gobien and Kristen Kozik, owners of Copper Kettle Brewing Company, created the divine stout inspired by a 500 year old Aztec recipe for hot chocolate, and won the Great American Beer Festival’s 2011 gold medal in the Herb and Spice Beer category. The beer, which is quickly gaining recognition, can be found at Denver Bicycle Café as well and of course at Copper Kettle.
